Played in 12 games for the Minnesota Gophers in 2008, including two starts ... Had five receptions and one touchdown in those 12 games. Was a scholar-athlete award winner.

A three-star Rivals and Scout prospect following his 2007 senior high school season at Garden City ... Rushed for 1,446 yards and 20 touchdowns, while passing for 700 yards and four scores in 2007 as the Buffaloes' starting quarterback, set a school-record 361 yards rushing with four touchdowns in a 42-28 win over Dodge City ... First team Class 6A All-State honors from the Kansas Football Coaches Association, Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital-Journal ... Second-team Top 11 (all classes) pick by the Capital-Journal ... 2007 Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Earned all-state honors as a defensive back in 2006. An honorable mention all-league selection as a sophomore. Also earned all-state accolades in basketball in 2006.
