Closed his spring as one of the leaders on the Purple defense in the spring game, i.e., tied for most in solo tackles (4) and total tackles (5). Redshirt season in 2006.
High School
Moved from running back to linebacker for his senior season and finished with 130 tackles (95 solo), 17 tackles for loss, including 11 sacks. Named first team All-District 17-5A and second team Class 5A Region III ... unanimous second team All-Greater Houston selection. Honorable mention all-league running back after an injury-ridden junior seaon when he rushed for 620 yards and seven touchdowns.
