Played all 13 games and finished the season second on the team with 86 total tackles and 54 solos ... added two interceptions and recovered a fumble. Held out of 2010 spring contact to further his knee rehab.

Tied for second in the Big 12 with five interceptions (54 yards). His 34 solo and 54 total tackles were fourth-highest on team. Broke-up six passes, defended 11, forced a fumble and recovered one. Returned eight punts for a team-best 13.1-yard average.
2008
Went from being an unused backup quarterback at the start of the year to the starting free safety by the end. Played in all twelve games, counted 32 unassisted tackles among his 49 total.

High School
Three-year starter at both quarterback and defensive back who threw for 978 yards (78-for-146) and 11 touchdowns, while rushing for 674 yards and six scores on 74 attempts as a senior earning second team all-city and honorable mention all-state honors ... first team 5A all-state honors at defensive back from the Topeka Capital-Journal, Wichita Eagle and the Kansas Football Coaches Association. Completed 104-of-193 passes for 1,420 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior and rushed for 382 yards and 11 TDs on 60 attempts to become an honorable mention all-state and all-city selection.
