Played in 12 games as the backup to senior left tackle Nick Stringer and as a special-teamer. Beginning in the spring of 2010 Zach will be a strong candidate, and the tallest, for the only offensive line position without a returning starter. Redshirt season in 2008.

Played one year at Sacramento City College.
Named all-league, all-area and second team all-state following his senior season at Linden High School. Lettered two years in basketball and was an honor roll student all four years.
